Titanker Heavy Duty chain lock for bicycles
I recently purchased the Titanker Heavy Duty bike lock chain (3â) and Iâm quite pleased with it so far. First of all, itâs much less expensive than other brandsâ versions. Perhaps for the $5000 mountain bike Iâd get the most expensive one out there, but for my older commuter bike, though a nice bike, the Titanker is sufficient.The lock itself seems very sturdy, encased in plastic with a sliding shield to keep debris out of the key slot. It comes with two keys that cannot be copied in typical key copy machines, so donât lose your spare! You donât have to turn the key to lock it, you simply plug the male end into the lock and it clicks shut, securely. The first chain link is solidly connected to the lock and the chain feels quite solid through the canvas cover. The cover is very nice for protecting your bikeâs paint. The Titanker logo in white on the cover also looks similar to the more expensive brandâs so perhaps a thief would think twice about attempting to cut it.The chain is three feet in length so it can easily be secured around the rear wheel, the bike frame, and a solid object. My bike has quick release skewers so I remove the front wheel and lock it in as well(Helpful hint: I have a suspension fork so I carry small rubber booties to protect the wheel inserts from ground contact). Iâll also remove the seatpost and lock through the saddle rails if Iâm leaving the bike for a long period. The chain is long enough to accommodate all those things. The chain is also very light despite its strength/length, so itâs not a burden in a backpack or wrapped tightly around the frame. My bike has a short seat tube extension above the top tube/seat stay junction so I wrap mine around there and itâs out of the way.Overall I am very pleased with all aspects of this lock so far, and will be purchasing a few more for friends.

Nice lock. Bought one a couple of weeks ago, then another. . The length works good with me because you don’t want it to long, only give thieves more areas to try to cut. I bought 2, separate times because I like the first lock one so much I bought a second one. If you need a longer chain, what I do is just link the two together. The quality is there, and I haven’t had any issues. I’d buy again, for sure!!!! Also because there not to long, I can easily store or wrap the lock to my bike.

Great lock
After my 50cc gas scooter was stolen, I didn’t get another without getting a lock to go with it. I wish I had bought this lock earlier. It is just the right size to fit through my tire and the grommets of my cover. It’s not to heavy to ride around with, yet it’s a big deterrent to keep thieves away. The keyhole has a cover to it, which keeps dirt and rain out. The chain is in a sleeve that is pretty durable too, having survived Florida rain storms and heat without disintegrating or getting moldy. Perfect for a bike, electric bike or scooter, or a small gas powered scooter.

This bike lock is an absolute beast. I donât know if I bought a security device or adopted a small iron golem. Itâs thick, heavy, and built like it was forged in the fires of Mount Doom by a blacksmith with anger issues.Honestly, itâs so tough Iâm now worried someone might steal the bike and leave the lock out of respect.The look alone says, âI pity the fool who tries to nick this ride.â In fact, Iâm 90% sure Mr. T would wear this around his neck as part of his ensemble, and no one would dare question it.Locks solidly, feels indestructible, and doubles as a great arm workout if you carry it too far.If you want your bike to stay your bike, this is the way. Absolute unit.
